IoT Starter Package

Getting started

Here is what you need to set up your dashboard, activate your devices and get your global cellular IoT deployment up and running.

A: If you already have an account please go to: cmp.cobira.co and login

B: Follow the instructions below

 Setup account

Navigate to www.cobira.co/start to request an account for your new SIM cards. You will need to write the reference number below in the form.

Reference number: ---

Once we have received your information, the account will be created and login details will be sent to your mailbox within 72 hours.

Send data for the first time

Login to your account to activate your SIM cards. Each SIM card in the Cobira IoT starter package has a prepaid balance of 100MB data and can be used for 2 months once activated. See here how to activate your SIM card in the CMP platform.

Once activated your devices can connect to a network to receive or transmit data. For an overview of available mobile networks go to our support pages support.cobira.co

You can manage your SIM cards and monitor usage in the dashboard.

You can utilize the Connectivity Management Platform or take full advantage of the functionality through our REST APIs in your own app.

 Configure APN

In order to get a data connection you need to configure  the Access Point Name (APN) of your device.

The APN informs your device on how to connect to the Cobira network. It’s just like telling your

computer to connect to the right WiFi network from a list of available hotspots.

Cobira uses region-specific APN’s to optimize network response times:

For Europe use APN > rh

For North and South America use APN > altanwifi

For Asia use APN > kroly

Some devices will auto-connect to the correct APN but a manual configuration will ensure a correct connection to the mobile network

Note: Private APNs can be included in a commercial setup.

If you should experience any problems please contact us at support@cobira.co

We look forward to getting your devices activated and transmitting data.
