Cobira Privacy Policy for products and services

Cobira cares about your data and we are committed to respect your privacy and to comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect and use personal data where Cobira is the data controller or where we refer to the applicability of this Policy. “Personal data'' means information that in any way, direct or indirect can identify an individual. 

Cobira protects your data. 

You own your data and that is how we think when we enforce this Policy and protect your data. We do this by using i.e. encryption and anonymization of your data. We will always inform you which data we use, why we are using it, who is using it and how we store this data. We only use your data for purposes we have informed you about. When we do not need your data we delete and anonymize your data. If we ask for your permission to utilize your data for specific purposes you are always allowed to redraw your permission. We protect your data against unauthorised access as good as it is reasonably possible for us to do. If we permit others to access and use your data on our behalf we will ensure they comply with this Policy. If we share your data with others we will ask for your permission unless it is lawful interception that prohibits us to ask you.  

Being operative and registered in Denmark, EU this policy is subject to the general data protection regulation (GDPR). 

We will ensure that you know which data we use and why we use them. You have full control over your personal data and you are the data controller. Cobira is the data processor in compliance with the GDPR regulation. We are obligated to implement adequate safeguards and measures to protect your data against unauthorised access and use, loss, misuse, unauthorised publications or other unlawful data processing. On your request we are obliged within reasonable time to provide you with relevant information if and how we process and protect your data and comply with the GDPR regulation. 

Definitions. 

Personal data:
Data regarding an identified or identifiable person/user. An identifiable person is a person that directly or indirectly can be identified based on the information of any kind we process. 

Data processing: 
What and how we collect, store and process your data. This is in example but not only collecting, registering, storing, transmitting and deleting. 

Data: 
Cobira collects only legal and relevant information for the service we provide. We only keep the information for as long as it is necessary and we delete information when there is no longer a relevant and legal reason. 

Cobira only collect and process information if: 

a) The user has unequivocally given his/her consent or

b) Processing is necessary to fulfill a contract that the user is a part of or to meet the specific requests from a user prior to the user entering into a contract or 

c) Processing is necessary to comply with regulation that Cobira is obligated to comply with or

d) Processing is necessary for Cobira to comply with lawful and legal interest unless these interests conflict with users fundamental rights.

We only process data on your behalf and only in compliance with your permission. You can at any time have access to, edit or have your data deleted. We only collect data from you via our tracking units and our systems interface. 


Cobira has implemented technical and organizational measures to protect your data. We do this by having a level of security adequate to the risk represented with operation of these services and handling these personal information. In case data processing is done on behalf of Cobrira, we choose a processor that can and will provide adequate guarantees in relation to meet the technical and organizational requirements for processing your data. Cobira will ensure that we have a contractual relationship that obliges the processor and especially define:  


a) The processor shall only act based on instructions from Cobira;

b) The provisions of this Privacy Policy apply to the processor.

Cobira processes personal information within the European Economic Community (EEC). In the event that the personal information is transferred or processed outside of EEC of Cobira or on behalf of Cobira, we will ensure the adequate guarantees in relation to protecting the personal information, fundamental and privacy rights by legal binding contracts or other general acceptable legal binding measures. If Cobira stores user data outside EEC we ensure that the user has given relevant permission. 

Data collected 

When you use our website, app and services we collect data from you and about you. What data we collect depends on what you use and how you use it. There is overall 3 categories of data we collect and uses: 

Data you provide

The data you enter when you use our services i.e. your name, e-mail address, phone number, geofence locations, etc.

Data collected by the system

This is sensor data, data collected automatically when you use our service. As an example our trackers use a GPS (Global Positioning System) sensor and when the GPS sensor is active it provides the location coordinates which is transferred to Cobira. 

Metadata

Metadata is the data collected automatically or generated when the user is using our webpage, app and services. It is typically data generated when you use a device susch computer or mobile phone or using the internet, etc. This data is i.e. IP addresses, cookies, IMEI number, etc. Cobira may not sell or publish these data without consent or permission from the owner but Cobira has the right to analyse and publish statistics and anonymized operational data. 

Cobira account

We can use your e-mail address and/or phone number for communication of relevant information to you. This is only done to ensure the possible service when using our products. Cookies

Our website, like many others, uses cookies. Cookies ensure that we can deliver a better user experience in the website's features. Many features on the website depend on use and storage of cookies, and you cannot therefore expect the website to function properly if you disable cookies.
